Neue Inspiration nach "Little Talks"

2012 waren Of Monsters and Men bei der Indie Folk Welle ganz vorne mit dabei und mit Songs wie "Little Talks" und "Dirty Paws" sind bis heute ihre größten Hits. Die Band aus Island war aber nie weg, sie haben sich nach drei weiteren Alben und dem 10-Jährigen Jubiläum ihrer ersten Platte jeweils Soloprojekten gewidmet, bevor sie dann für die Aufnahmen an All Is Love and Pain in the Mouse Parade wieder gemeinsam ins Studio gegangen sind. Das war wichtig, um neue Inspiration zu finden, sagt Nanna:

"I think it was very important for us to kind of venture out and try new things. I made a solo record during the pandemic and it’s something that has always been a part of me – the band started from my solo project in a way. And then during the pandemic I got the chance to revisit it and I made an album that was very important for me and allowed me to explore different things, but also what’s really cool is, you gather new inspiration and then you bring it back to the band. And I think we all had this moment of kind of going in our separate ways and then come back and make this album." - Nanna von Of Monsters and Men

Sind die Isländer*innen obsessed mit dem Eurovision Song Contest?

Island hat eine sehr lebendige Musikszene, auf die die Menschen sehr stolz sind. Island zu repräsentieren, gilt auch in einem Wettbewerb wie dem Eurovision Song Contest als große Ehre. Kann es eigentlich sein, dass die Menschen in Island ein bisschen obsessed sind mit Eurovision? Und würden Of Monsters and Men eigentlich mitmachen, wenn man sie fragen würde?
